A Gift Rooted in Place
Give Where
Life Grows.
Your gift helps Kumuola Foundation perpetuate Hawaiian arts and culture while cultivating a resilient farm, a stronger community, and a living legacy for future generations.
Kumuola Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Why Kumuola Matters
Culture Thrives When
It Is Practiced.
Kumuola creates a place where keiki learn with their hands, families gather around food and story, and visitors encounter Hawaiian culture through respectful, place-based experience. The farm is both a classroom and a responsibility — one that asks us to care for native life, share knowledge, and make room for community.
Where Your Gift Goes
Invest in a More
Resilient Hawaiʻi.
Donations support work that is immediate and long-term: teaching today’s keiki, restoring native ecosystems, and building the permanent spaces required to carry culture forward.
Keiki & Cultural Education
Support immersive, outdoor learning that helps young people connect Hawaiian values, cultural practice, food, water, and ʻāina.
Native Plants & Life
Help restore native and endemic flora, remove invasive species, protect loʻi kalo, and strengthen the habitat that sustains the farm and wider community.
Community & ʻOhana
Make it possible for people to gather, volunteer, share food, learn from practitioners, and build lasting relationships through mālama.
Your support does not fund a single moment. It helps build the conditions for cultural knowledge, ecological care, and community connection to continue.
The Future We Are Growing
Build the Spaces
That Hold the Work.
The future Kumuola campus is designed around the programs already happening on the farm. These projects create a more permanent home for learning, food, restoration, and gathering.

Kumuola Pavilion
A permanent open-air home for cultural education, community gathering, workshops, and events — designed to welcome more than 200 people.
Protected Loʻi Kalo
A resilient taro-growing system that protects the loʻi from wild pigs, preserves berms, and supports sustainable kalo farming.
IMU & Gathering Hale
Traditional underground oven, cultural cooking, and ʻohana gathering.
Lei Station
Farm-to-lei flowers, crafted lei, and workshop space.
Kitchen & Workshop
Repurposed spaces for cooking, making, and cultural learning.
Water & Flower Station
Filtered water and flower-care infrastructure for the farm community.
